The saga surrounding Carlos Correa and which team he would finally sign with didn't just impact the press for a few teams this offseason — it also affected how sportsbooks thought they would fare in the 2023 World Series.
So, of course, Correa's presence means something for the Minnesota Twins, whose World Series chances were unfazed despite signing the star shortstop this week.
According to DraftKings, the Twins' chances of winning the Fall Classic continue to get better after the signing.

It has been a topsy-turvy offseason for the two-time All Star, who played for Minnesota last season after spending his first seven years in the league with the Houston Astros.
The 28-year-old infielder came close to signing with the San Francisco Giants and then the New York Mets, only to have contract talks fizzle in both scenarios because of concerns over Correa's overall health.
Suffice to say, Correa returning to Minnesota also had an impact on the Mets' World Series odds.

+1100: Open
+1700: deGrom to Rangers
+900: sign Verlander
+650: Expected to sign Correa
+750: Correa to Twins
Only Astros (+650) and Yankees (+650) have better odds to win it all.
Correa and the Twins are scheduled to face the Mets in September, at which point those World Series odds will no doubt have changed dramatically.
