Cleveland Indians manager Terry Francona won't be with the club when it plays a pair of games against state rivals the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park.
Mandy Bell of the official MLB website reported that Francona missed Sunday's game versus the Minnesota Twins because of non-specific stomach issues. He underwent an examination at Cleveland Clinic on Monday afternoon.
Terry Francona's appointments at the Clinic are now scheduled for the afternoon. Because of that, Tito will not join the team in Cincinnati today or tomorrow. Chris Antonetti said it's still too early to determine whether he'd be back to managing when the team comes home Wed. https://t.co/LbrTXWFmjB
