Insider Reveals 2 Teams as Potential Fits For Orioles' $8.7 Million Outfielder at Trade Deadline

Last season, Baltimore was well above the .500 mark for the entire season and eventually finished as a Wild Card team with a record of 91-71.

It seems as if they are going to need to make some changes and MLB insider Jon Morosi believes that one of their players could be on the trade market this summer.

Jon Morosi suggests Cedric Mullins as a trade target

Although the Baltimore Orioles haven't had much to be impressed by, outfielder Cedric Mullins has continued to stand out and could be on the move in 2025.

"I think, right now, Cedric Mullins is on the short list of potential impact position players moved at the deadline unless Orioles go on some kind of amazing run," Morosi mentioned on Monday.

Morosi also mentioned that the Philadelphia Phillies and Texas Rangers could be two potential landing spots for the 30-year-old center fielder.

As of now, Mullins has a .229 batting average and a .775 OPS while leading the Orioles in RBIs (21), home runs (7) and stolen bases (6).

He will be a free agent at the end of the 2025 season and is currently on a contract where he's due $8.7 million this season.

As the Orioles search for ways to turn their season around, Mullins could become a trade target to help them improve in pitching or find a more consistent bat.
