Former Florida Gators superstar Jac Caglianone has finally made his long awaited MLB debut for the Kansas City Royals after being the No. 6 overall pick in 2024.

In his first game in the majors, he had the ball in play multiple times, however was unable to turn any of those into hits. His second game resulted in one hit, an RBI double.

He has eased into the MLB lifestyle, and in his sixth game he took off . In the series finale against the Chicago White Sox, Caglianone went 4-4 at the plate with three singles and one double as they won 7-5.

The 22-year-old slugger made a big splash on Sunday with his performance, and has performed very well since his entrance into the majors.

Batting at just .240 and still searching for his first career Major League Baseball home run, he looks eased in and poised to take his next steps in his career.

He has yet to play in front of his home fans, as both series against the St. Louis Cardinals and White Sox were on the road, but gets the chance to do so this week.

His first home game will be on Tuesday, June 10, as he will be taking on Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees.

Jeff Passan has spoken out about Caglianone's power, and compares it to the likes of Judge and Shohei Ohtani. The power behind his swing is already showing itself in his exit velocity on some of his at bats.

His first home run could be a spiral of many to come, and the generational power behind his swing could be one we see for a long time.
