The New York Yankees began a three-game series with the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday. The Yankees took the first game with a 6-3 win on the road after winning three straight over the Kansas City Royals.

The Yankees moved to 12-7 on the year to hold on to a one-game American League East lead.

However, the story of the game was Jazz Chisholm Jr. The infielder went hitless again as his average dropped to .169 on the year.

In the bottom of the seventh, Chisholm was batting with a runner on first and one out. He then struck out looking at a pitch that appeared to miss the strike zone.

As such, Chisholm was upset and was ejected by the umpire.

Minutes later, Chisholm took to X to express his frustration.

"Not even (expletive) close."

Now, the MLB is reportedly looking into the situation with Chisholm tweeting from the locker room, per Gary Phillips of The Daily News

"MLB is looking into the tweet that Jazz Chisholm Jr. fired off from the Yankees’ clubhouse after he was ejected in the seventh inning of Thursday’s game, a league source told the Daily News," Phillips wrote.

Per the league policy, the use of electronics is prohibited during games, not to mention Chisholm taking his frustration out on the call on social media.

While Chisholm admitted he was mad for losing his cool in the moment, he said he can "live up to" the actions with the league looking into the incident.

“I don’t care,” Chisholm said. “I did what I did. I can live up to my responsibilities. It doesn’t matter to me.”

Chisholm deleted the tweet on Thursday night, but it will be interesting to see how the MLB rules on this matter.
