The Chicago White Sox will have to adjust their rotation as Jonathan Cannon has been scratched from his scheduled start today against the Texas Rangers due to lower back tightness. The news broke earlier today via X, from White Sox beat writer Scott Merkin.

Cannon, a 2022 draft pick, has been a standout performer this season, showcasing significant growth and earning the trust of the coaching staff and fans. He holds a 2-5 record with a 3.76 ERA and 42 strikeouts over 55 innings pitched so far this season. The 23-year-old right-hander has shown glimpses of being a key piece in the White Sox pitching rotation for years to come.

The White Sox will look to Bryse Wilson to take Cannon's place in the starting rotation for today's matchup. Stay tuned to On Tap Sports Net for the latest updates on Jonathan Cannon's injury and for any developments in today’s game against the Texas Rangers.
