Jose Ramirez, Franmil Reyes in isolation after violating MLB's COVID-19 protocols

Cleveland made headlines during the 2020 season after Mike Clevinger and Zach Plesac violated Major League Baseball's COVID-19 health and safety protocols. On Sunday, the team made headlines for the same reason.

According to USA Today's Bob Nightengale, third baseman Jose Ramirez and designated hitter Franmil Reyes violated COVID-19 protocols and are isolating away from the team.

Both players are out indefinitely after Reyes got a haircut on Friday and dined with Ramirez at an indoor restaurant later that evening, manager Terry Francona said, according to the Associated Press (h/t ESPN).

Ramirez had a stellar 2020 season, slashing .292/.386/.607 with 17 home runs and 46 RBI. Reyes also had a solid year, slashing .275/.344/.450 with nine home runs and 34 RBI.

It's unclear how long Ramirez and Reyes will be sidelined and if they'll receive any discipline for violating protocols.
