Juan Soto Makes Personal Announcement Amid 2nd Mets Season

New York Mets outfielder Juan Soto is officially back. He missed over a month of action after suffering a left calf strain back in late July.

Although the Mets season is all but mathematically over, seeing Soto back in action is exciting, and already in just his second game back on Sunday he homered against the Houston Astros.

The 27-year-old superstar remains one of the best all-around players in baseball. Across 300 at-bats this year he has posted a .283 batting average, .407 on-base percentage, .950 OPS, 22 home runs and 54 RBIs.

He is one of the most accomplished young players in MLB as a five-time All-Star, six-time Silver Slugger and former World Series champion during his time with the Washington Nationals.

As Soto continues to expand his profile as one of baseball’s most recognizable superstars, he has also remained the face of several brands, his primary one being Under Armour.

Soto has been partnered with Under Armour for several seasons, with the two repeatedly collaborating on new products.

On Monday, Soto and Under Armour made a joint announcement on Instagram revealing a special event to showcase his first-ever player exclusive cleat, called the UA Yard Icon “La Fiera.”

Soto revealed he would be at Brooklyn’s City Line Park this upcoming Thursday to celebrate the launch, with the first 75 fans getting the chance to meet and take a photo with him directly.

Fans who purchase the product will also receive an event-exclusive poster. The caption also provided the exact location and time for when the event will take place.

The Mets do not play Thursday, so Soto will not have to head directly to the ballpark after the event, giving him a chance to connect with his supporters while also showcasing a signature product.
