Justin Verlander, Kate Upton Make Exciting Announcement Monday

Future Hall of Fame pitcher Justin Verlander is in the midst of a rocky season with the San Francisco Giants after signing a one-year, $15 million deal.

Verlander, who is now nearing seven and a half years of marriage to model and actress Kate Upton, is looking to build on his on-field legacy and will look to stack wins after returning from a pectoral strain.

Over the weekend, Verlander and Upton made a very exciting personal announcement after the 42-year-old missed the Giants' weekend series against the Boston Red Sox.

Verlander and Upton announced the birth of their second child over the weekend, a son named Bellamy Brooks Verlander.

Upton and Verlander welcomed their daughter Genevieve, 6, into the world in November of 2018.

Verlander noted that Genevieve, who goes by Vivi, is very tapped into what her dad does on the diamond. Verlander told the Houston Chronicle in 2022 that Vivi is "really starting to get into it" when he pitches.

He discussed a time when Vivi, while walking through the clubhouse stopped in her tracks watching one of Verlander's starts play on the TV above, saying: "Daddy, that's you!" Aside from that, the couple have kept Vivi mostly out of the public eye.

Of course, Upton and Verlander are one of the world's most eminent power couples, with the news of Upton's pregnancy and birth generating widespread headlines.
