Kansas City Royals Starting Pitcher Kris Bubic has found his footing over his last five starts. Once the calendar turned over to May, the lefty rounded into form. Over his last five starts, Bubic is 3-0 with a 0.56 ERA and 33 punchouts. His great streak began against the Baltimore Orioles and continued against the Chicago White Sox, Houston Astros, San Francisco Giants, and Minnesota Twins.

Bubic’s great starts have led to success on the diamond. The Kansas City Royals are 4-1 over that stretch. Bubic has had a strong season overall. He is ninth in the league in wins, second in ERA, 13th in strikeouts, and 14th in WHIP. Will Bubic continue being a contributor to the Royals?

Kansas City’s offense has been poor. They are 14th in batting average, last in home runs, and 28th in runs scored. Third Baseman Maikel Garcia is 10th in the league in batting average. Shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. has gotten off to a bit of a slow start this season following a second-place MVP finish in 2024.

Kansas City’s pitching staff has been the strength of the club in 2025. They are second in ERA, eighth in opposing batting average, and fifth in WHIP.
