The Milwaukee Brewers have enjoyed another strong regular season so far in 2026. In all reality, the Brewers finding regular season success has become a trend in recent years. Another trend, however, has been Milwaukee’s postseason struggles. MLB insider Ken Rosenthal made his feelings clear on what the Brewers must do to avoid another early exit in October, via Foul Territory.
“If the Brewers want to go further this year, and they are fully capable of doing that, they’re going to need to be more aggressive,” Rosenthal said. “How aggressive? Tarik Skubal aggressive? No, I don’t expect that, but I do expect them to do some things. They’re not going to trade prospects for a rental, but they can do some things. They have the ability to do that. Frankly, they have no excuse not to.
“They owe it to themselves to give themselves the best chance with this team that might be their best of all these years that they’ve had this run now.”
The Brewers will likely make some trades before the upcoming deadline. Milwaukee already features a talented roster, but the ball club happens to play in an extremely deep National League. Not only do they have to worry about the best team in baseball, the Los Angeles Dodgers, but teams such as the Atlanta Braves, Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago Cubs will make things interesting in October.
Trading for a few players to give the roster even more talent will help the Brewers. It remains to be seen how aggressive they will be when it comes to trades, however.
