
Slugger Kyle Schwarber and the Philadelphia Phillies are finalizing a five-year $150 million deal, per ESPN.
After several teams made an effort to sign Schwarber in free agency, the National League home run leader decided to return to Philly.
Schwarber had an outstanding 2025 campaign, finishing second in the NL MVP race after hitting .240/.365/.563 with 56 home runs.

Since being drafted by the Chicago Cubs 11 seasons ago, Schwarber has hit .231/.346/.500 with 340 home runs and 800 runs scored.
While the free agent market has moved rather slowly, Schwarber’s signing should be the catalyst for more transactions in the near future.
