Livvy Dunne showed support for her boyfriend Paul Skenes by purchasing a rookie card for nearly $3,000. Dunne purchased the rare 2024 Bowman’s Best Paul Skenes Animae card at Fanatics Fest in New York City over the weekend.

“I’m here for the Paul Skenes Animae card,” Livvy Dunne said in a video posted by Topps. The seller responded that a few people had already bought the card because of Skenes’ popularity.

“The Animae one is the one that I’m looking for,” Dunne stated. When she found the card, Dunne asked the seller the price. He said it’s $3,000 since there are only five in existence and has a PSA 10. The card Dunne had was the only was a 10.

“Didn’t one sell for $2,200?” she asked. The seller said yes but asked Dunne if she thinks that Skenes is a future Hall of Famer and the best pitcher in baseball history. Dunne then offered the seller $2,850 for the card. The seller agreed, and Dunne got her Paul Skenes Animae card.

More on Livvy Dunne and Paul Skenes

Dunne and Skenes first met at LSU in 2023 and began dating shortly after. Dunne and Skenes have seen their share of success during that time. Dunne helped LSU win a gymnastics national title and was on the cover of the 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. Skenes was selected No. 1 overall by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2023 MLB Draft and was named NL Rookie of the Year in 2024.

In an interview with GQ last year, Dunne talked about her reaction to having a large following on social media. “Yeah, it was super exciting. I started social media just because it was fun and it developed into a brand,” she said. “Now, I’ve really grown to love looking at the analytics—how things perform and when things don’t perform, seeing what went wrong. I just find joy in that. I think you gotta love it if you’re doing it, or else it could be kind of brutal. Social media in general is a tough place sometimes, but it’s been really rewarding and fun to keep growing my own personal brand.”
