Amir Garrett wants a chance.
The former Reds reliever is hoping to get a big league tryout with the Reds this spring.
"When the call comes I'll be ready," Garrett posted on X.
Reds columnist Chad Dotson responded with "Call him, Nick Krall, come on."
It didn't take long for Garrett to reply: "I wold love that. All I need is an invite. I'll take care of the rest."
Garrett spent five seasons with the Reds (2017-21). He posted a 5.10 ERA in 255 2/3 innings over that span. His best season was in 2020 when he had a 2.45 ERA in 21 games.
The Reds have made multiple additions to their bullpen this offseason. It doesn't seem like a reunion is likely. Garrett pitched for the Royals for two seasons, before playing for the Angels last year.
