Los Angeles Angels Left Fielder Taylor Ward has been strong over his last 10 games. He has mustered an extra-base hit in 10 consecutive contests. That broke a record set by Darin Erstad in 1998 for the longest streak in franchise history.
Ward’s great stretch has coincided with strong play for the Angels on the diamond. Los Angeles just had their eight-game winning streak snapped last night against the Miami Marlins. Ward’s extra-base streak began on May 14 against the San Diego Padres. It has been a strong 2025 for Ward. He is fifth in the league in home runs and 11th in RBI. Will Ward continue having a great season at the plate?

The aforementioned winning streak helped the Angels vault up the standings. They are in third place in the American League West at 25-26. LA’s offense has been a bit of a mixed bag. They are 26th in batting average, third in home runs, and 16th in runs scored. Ward has been one of the team’s only offensive players living up to their potential.
LA’s pitching staff has also left much to be desired. They are 25th in ERA, 29th in opposing batting average, and 29th in WHIP. The Angels have struggled especially on the mound this season. They need that part of the team to pick up the slack as the season marches on.
Ward and the Los Angeles Angels return to the diamond this afternoon for the final game of their three-game set against the Miami Marlins. If Ward can continue swinging the bat this well, the Los Angeles Angels can continue climbing the American League standings.
