The Chicago Cubs will be well-represented at the 2023 World Baseball Classic. The Cubs had 16 players named to rosters for their respective countries Thursday night.
Pitcher Marcus Stroman and outfielder Seiya Suzuki headline the list of Cubs players along with prospects Matt Mervis and Owen Caissie.
The World Baseball Classic will run March 8-21 in Japan, Taiwan, and the United States. After pool play has concluded, the quarterfinals will be played in Japan before the semifinals and championship in Miami.
