The Los Angeles Dodgers made some roster moves last week that sent small shockwaves through the team's fanbase.

The organization had to let go of two of its longest-tenured players in Chris Taylor and Austin Barnes, to make room for younger players, plus both veterans had struggled with Los Angeles in the last few seasons.

Taylor didn't take too long to find a new home, as it was reported today that he is signing with the Los Angeles Angels and starting in center field immediately, per Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

The two-time World Series Champion with the Dodgers made quite a name for himself as a Los Angeles fan favorite after being acquired from the Seattle Mariners back in 2016 for top prospect Zach Lee. Taylor wound up to make an All-Star game and hit 108 home runs with the team.

However, the production has slowed drastically over the last two seasons for the 34-year-old utilityman.

Taylor won't have to travel too far to get to his next destination, as it's just right across town. The Angels recently swept the Dodgers in the always entertaining Freeway Series during MLB's rivalry weekend.

Another angle of this news could be that Taylor is just in need of a fresh start with a new organization. He had spent the last 10 seasons with the Dodgers, and by the end, may have been getting weeded out by better/younger players. All of Dodgers Nation will be wishing him well with the Angels and hope he can find some offensive success with the organization.
