The Los Angeles Dodgers are sending another one of their key contributors to the Injured List. This time, it's All-Star outfielder Teoscar Hernández being placed on the 10-day IL with a left groin strain.

The corresponding move is recalling outfielder James Outman, who will also get the start in center field immediately after the Hernández news.

Teoscar was pulled in Monday's game against the Miami Marlins after being 2-for-2 with an RBI double. He was replaced in the fourth inning by Chris Taylor between innings after appearing to have aggravated his hamstring while tracking down a flyball.

No doubt a big loss for the Dodgers' lineup, which has failed to receive enough contributions from the bottom of the lineup with players like Max Muncy and Michael Conforto in deep slumps. Ever since the Dodgers acquired Hernández, he has been the team's cleanup hitter and has always been able to drive in runs.

His 34 RBIs this season before being sent to the IL are the best mark in MLB. He also holds a share in the team lead for home runs, smashing nine on the season, tied with Shohei Ohtani.

Manager Dave Roberts also cleared the air on the strain level, announcing today that it was a grade one adductor strain.

Roberts also indicated following the first game of the Marlins series that the injury was "A little concerning", but considering he is just being sent to the 10-day, Hernández will be able to rest that hamstring area, get work done on it, and hopefully be able to return to the lineup once the 10 days are up.
