The New York Mets are just 2-8 over their last 10 games, but it's only a matter of time before they get back on track again. Having superstars Francisco Lindor, Juan Soto, and Pete Alonso in the lineup gives the squad a higher baseline than most.
Alonso is slashing .286/.380/.543 with 18 homers and 34 RBI, the latter of which ranks fourth in baseball. The 6-foot-3-inch, 245-pounder is also seventh with a .923 OPS.
Meanwhile, Soto is tied for 10th with 19 homers and tied for 11th with an .899 OPS, while Lindor is slashing .265/.334/.461 with 16 homers and 43 RBI.
The Mets made an announcement about all three players before Thursday's bout with the Atlanta Braves, via social media.
"Francisco Lindor, Pete Alonso, and Juan Soto are finalists on the All-Star ballot! Phase 2 of voting will begin on Monday, June 30 at noon." they said.
The All-Star Game will take place on July 15 at the Braves' Truist Park.

Alonso has been with the Mets his entire career, while Lindor has been with the club since 2021. Soto signed a record 15-year, $765 million deal with the team this past offseason after playing for the New York Yankees last year.
Lindor played with the Cleveland Guardians from 2016-20, while Soto was with the Washington Nationals from 2018-22 and the San Diego Padres from 2022-23.
Soto hit two solo homers in Wednesday's 7-3 win over Atlanta, passing Hall of Famer Jimmie Foxx for the most career multi-homer games before turning 27.
