New York Mets star shortstop Francisco Lindor has solidified himself as one of the best all-around players in Major League Baseball throughout his career. In 11 seasons between the Cleveland Indians and New York Mets, Lindor has hit .273 with an .817 OPS, 279 home runs and 856 RBIs.
He has made five All-Star game appearances, won four Silver Slugger awards, two Gold Glove awards and one Platinum Glove award in his illustrious career.
The 32-year-old is coming off a phenomenal season with the Mets in 2025, as he batted .267 with 31 long balls and 86 RBIs. He also stole 31 bases, marking the second 30-home run, 30-steal season of his career.
Despite Lindor's fantastic season, he and the Mets fell short of postseason contention as they finished the regular season with an 83-79 record.
While his play on the field has drawn most of the attention for Lindor throughout his career in the majors, he has had an incredible impact outside of baseball as well. This past season, Lindor was named the Mets' nominee for the Roberto Clemente Award for the third straight year.
This week, the Mets announced a collaboration with Lindor and New Balance, as they launched Lindor's Leaders, which focuses on helping high school students.
"Francisco Lindor launched Lindor’s Leaders in partnership with the Mets and @newbalancebaseball to provide high school students a structure to develop leadership skills," the caption read.
Many Mets fans have been disappointed with their team's offseason so far, as star closer Edwin Diaz and first basemanPete Alonso have signed with other teams. Despite this, they should be excited about their franchise shortstop showing his incredible off-field presence once again.
