Benn has worked for Major League Baseball since 2017. She started with the league front office in youth programs and labor relations, and since 2020, she has been serving as a senior coordinator of baseball operations.
Benn was named one The Athletic's "35 Under 35" in 2019 when she worked as a labor relations coordinator for MLB. In 2016, she became the first woman to play in the New York Metro Baseball League as well.
Per DiComo, in addition to Benn, the Mets recently hired their first on-field female coach in franchise history in Gretchen Aucoin.
