Miami Marlins Continue Winning Ways With 8th Straight Victory

The Miami Marlins are the hottest team in Major League Baseball. They continued their great play by picking up their eighth straight win last night at home against the Minnesota Twins. Miami’s hot streak began with a win in the series finale against the Atlanta Braves. They then swept back-to-back three-game sets against the San Francisco Giants and Arizona Diamondbacks and won the first game of their series against the Twins.

Miami has outscored opponents 54-34 over its eight-game winning streak. Right Fielder Kyle Stowers has four home runs over this streak. How long will the winning streak of the Miami Marlins last?

The pitching staff of the Miami Marlins has been weak. They are 26th in ERA, 25th in opposing batting average, and 23rd in WHIP. No starting pitcher has stood out for Miami this season. Both the team’s offense and pitching must improve for the team to keep winning games.
