Mike Trout Leaves Game Against the Seattle Mariners

The Los Angeles Angels suffered a 9-3 loss to the Seattle Mariners today. They are about to start a four-game series against the Detroit Tigers starting tomorrow night. In today’s loss, they lost their superstar outfielder in Mike Trout, due to left knee soreness. Trout, in his at-bat in the top of the third inning while trying to run out a ground ball, sprinted down the line and lunged toward first, seemed to tweak something. He was called out. Trout stayed in the game on defense, but when his time to hit in the lineup came up again, he was replaced by Jo Adell. After the game, Trout said

When it happened, I knew it was like just a weird one, but now after getting treatment and stuff. I should be a little better soon.”

Trout this season has started all 29 of the Angels’ games this season hitting .179 with a .726 OPS. He has a double, a triple, nine home runs, 18 RBI, 19 runs scored, two stolen bases, and 12 walks.
