It’s no secret that Mike Trout is one heck of a baseball player.

Ever since bursting onto the scene in 2012, he’s taken the baseball world by storm, winning three American League MVP Awards along the way and setting the pace for a Hall-of-Fame worthy career.

The Los Angeles Angels‘ superstar is hitting .323 with 12 homers, 26 RBI, and a 1.133 OPS to start the 2022 season, which is his 12th in the big leagues.

It seems that every time he’s out on the baseball field, he does something special.

In fact, he scored his 1,000th career run on Saturday night against the Oakland Athletics.

The Angels PR department tweeted about Trout’s accomplishment and the other players in team history who have accomplished such a feat.

Trout Making History

This is an impressive accomplishment by Trout.

He has become the second player in Angels history to have scored 1,000 runs.

Garrett Anderson was the first.

He’s also in some unique company with Alex Rodriguez and Willie Mays as just the third player to have scored 1,000 or more runs, hit 300 or more home runs, and stolen 200 or more bases at his current age.

He’s in some solid company with some of the greatest players to have ever played the game of baseball.

Trout has been one of baseball’s best players since he made his debut late in the 2011 season and is proving that he’s far from through chasing records and making history.

He is also a great ambassador for the game of baseball.

More is sure to come as Trout continues his legendary career.

We’ll see what’s next for the future Hall-of-Famer.

Trout is in the absolute prime of his career and he has been one of the key factors in the Angels’ turnaround this year.
