The Los Angeles Angels will start a three-game series in Cleveland tomorrow night. They are coming off being swept by the New York Yankees after being outscored 9-3 in the three games. The Angels will face the Guardians with a key piece back in their lineup. According to Jeff Fletcher of SoCal News Group the Angels are activating Mike Trout as they optioned outfielder Matthew Lugo to Triple-A Salt Lake. Trout has been out since May 1 as he recovered from a bone bruise on his left knee. In 29 games prior to the injury he was hitting .179 with a .727 OPS. He had a double, a triple, nine home runs, 18 RBI, 14 runs scored, two stolen bases, and 12 walks. Lugo in 15 games hit .231 with a .814 OPS. He had two doubles, a triple, three home runs, six RBI, and five runs scored.

He’s an 11-time All-Star winning MVP is the midsummer classic twice. He’s also a nine-time Silver Slugger, and a Rookie of the Year. Trout has finished in the top two of MVP voting seven times and in thee top five nine times.
