Mike Trout's MLB debut jersey expected to fetch at least $1 million at auction

Mike Trout is considered one of the greatest baseball players of all time. Because of that, sports memorabilia related to the Los Angeles Angels star has skyrocketed in price.

The future Hall of Famer's first game-worn Major League Baseball jersey has hit the auction block at Lelands and is expected to fetch at least $1 million. The description reads:

"Rare style California Angels throwback jersey shows great use with dirt and grass stains, and has 50th Anniversary patch on left sleeve and 'CA' patch on right sleeve. 'Angels' nameplate is across the chest, 'Trout' is sewn directly on back in individual letters with number 27 below, all in red-on-black tackle twill. Majestic Authentic size 46 tagging with MLB hologram on tail authenticated to August 19, 2011, in which Trout hit the second of his current 302 career home runs and his first in Angels Stadium. Even though the jersey is authenticated by MLB to a later date, this jersey has been definitively photo-matched the jersey to Trout's MLB Debut."

Trout made his major-league debut as a teenager on July 8, 2011 against the Seattle Mariners. He started in center field, batted ninth in the order and went 0-for-3 at the plate.

Since then, the 29-year-old has solidified himself as the best in baseball. In 10 seasons with the Angels, Trout has won three MVP awards, eight Silver Slugger awards and is an eight-time All-Star. He has also hit 302 home runs.

Trout memorabilia has become quite popular. A 2009 Bowman Chrome Draft Prospects Trout Superfractor card sold for $3.93 million last year. It's unclear if his debut jersey will reach that price.
