The Milwaukee Brewers are trying to win games any way that they can right now. With their offense woefully inconsistent, they have needed their pitchers to be next-to-perfect in order to win many of the contests. And while their pitchers have, for the most part, answered the call, it has been a struggle to keep their rotation healthy.
Even before the season started, Brandon Woodruff, DL Hall, and Aaron Ashby were ruled out for various injuries. Woodruff, after several additional injuries, has yet to make his season debut. Additionally, Tobias Myers has struggled with his control in the Majors this year and is currently trying to get right down in Nashville.
With so many moving parts, Milwaukee has had to get creative with their starting rotation. And later this week, they are turning to the best pitching prospect they have.
According to multiple reports on Tuesday, the Brewers are calling up their best pitching prospect, Jacob Misiorowski. They are also planning on having him start against the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursady:
The Milwaukee Brewers are calling up right-hander Jacob Misiorowski, one of the best pitching prospects in baseball, sources tell ESPN. Misiorowski, ranked 30th among all prospects by @kileymcd, has a fastball that’s been up to 103 mph this year. He’s expected to start Thursday.

Misiorowski, Milwaukee’s fourth overall prospect, is 4-2 with a 2.13 ERA in 13 games (12 starts) this year for Triple-A Nashville.
He also has struck out 80 batters in just 63.1 innings, and has a fastball that has been clocked at over 103 mph this season.
However, command has been an issue for Misiorowski at times. On May 31, he only pitched 2.0 innings while allowing five runs on three hits and six walks.
That being said, the is no question that he has what it takes to be a Major League pitcher. On May 9, he went 6.2 innings and allowed no runs on two hits, a walk, and 11 strikeouts.
