The Milwaukee Brewers selected Jacob Misiorowski in the second round of the 2022 MLB draft. Several scouts labeled the 6-foot-7 flamethrower as the steal of the draft and some MiLB prospect media outlets have him pegged as a breakout player for the 2023 season.
To begin his first full year of professional baseball, Milwaukee assigned him to their High-A affiliate, the Carolina Mudcats. He briefly pitched with Carolina last season, but this will be his first full season of minor league action.
Making his 2023 season debut on Thursday, Misiorowski's vaunted heater was on full display, right from the start. He opened with a strikeout on a 101 MPH fastball.

At Crowder College, the young right-hander surpassed a record for single game strikeouts (18) that was previously held by current Brewer Aaron Ashby. He also recorded 136 strikeouts for the season as a whole, which was the third-most in the league.
MLB Pipeline slots in Misiorowski as the sixth-ranked prospect in Milwaukee's system.
