There is no hotter team in the big leagues right now than the Milwaukee Brewers. They have the best record in all of baseball to date and are the only team with at least 70 victories through Monday. In addition to that, the Brewers have the longest active win streak with 10 in a row after crushing the Pittsburgh Pirates in a series-opening 7-1 victory at American Family Field in Milwaukee on Monday.
The Brewers are simply incredible, as they continue to run away with the top spot in the National League Central division and the No. 1 position in the NL. Milwaukee is not going to win them all the rest of the 2025 MLB regular season, but it’s not hard to see them thwarting any team at any given place at the moment, let alone if it’s the division’s cellar-dwelling Pirates.
After defeating the Pirates in the series opener, the Brewers got their flowers from ESPN insider Jeff Passan.
Wrote Passan in a social media post on X (formerly Twitter): “It is August 11, and the best record in Major League Baseball — by five full games — belongs to the Milwaukee Brewers. A model baseball operation seeing the fruits of its labor.”

The Brewers are a virtual lock to make the 2025 MLB postseason and, according to FanGraphs, Milwaukee has a 7.3 percent chance to win the World Series, as of Monday. The Los Angeles Dodgers, Philadelphia Phillies, Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays, New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers all have higher chances to win the World Series based on FanGraphs’ MLB Playoff Odds, but every one of those clubs also has a much higher payroll than Milwaukee.
