A look at Sunday’s minor-league action within the Pirates' system ...

INDIANAPOLIS (17-19) lost at Louisville, 7-1. The Bats posted a six-run second inning off of Indians starter Eric Lauer. He allowed a two-run double to Hernan Perez, a one-RBI double to Blake Dunn, and a three-run home run to Levi Jordan in that inning.

The Indians were limited to four hits. Ji-Hwan Bae's triple in the third was the lone extra-base hit.

Indianapolis returns home fr a six-game series against Toledo beginning Tuesday.

ALTOONA (8-25) split a double header of seven-inning games against Somerset. The Curve lost Game 1, 5-2, and won Game 2, 3-1.

In Game 1, Anthony Solometo surrendered three runs on three hits, two of those from solo home runs, while walking one in three innings. Curve pitching walked seven and struck out four in the game. Tsung-Che Chen had a two-run single in the fifth. Jase Bowen went 2-for-3 and scored a run.

In Game 2, Thomas Harrington struck out four, walked one, and did not allow a hit in three innings of work in his Class AA debut. Bowen scored on a bases-loaded balk in the fourth and Joe Perez hit a solo homer in the sixth.

The Curve are at Akron for six games starting Tuesday.

GREENSBORO (18-14) won a slugfest at Bowling Green, 13-10. Maikol Escotto hit a three-run homer in the first inning, which was the first of the Grasshoppers' three home runs of the day. Charles McAdoo homered and cleared loaded bases with a double and drove in five runs. Escotto, McAdoo, and Jack Brannigan each had three hits.

Greensboro is at Hickory for six games beginning Tuesday.

BRADENTON (15-18) beat St. Lucie in an extra-innings marathon, 12-11, to run its winning streak to a franchise-record 10 games.

Entering extra innings tied at 10, St. Lucie plated a run in the top of the 10th. The Marauders would get an RBI double from Jeral Toledo and an RBI single from Esmerlyn Valdez to walk the game off in the bottom half:

St. Lucie scored five runs in the top of the second, and Bradenton answered with two in the bottom of the second and five in the bottom of the third to take a 7-5 lead. 

Kalae Harrison drove in four runs. Toledo and Omar Alfonzo each collected three hits.

The Marauders are at Tampa for six games beginning Tuesday.
