Minor-league report: Davis hits two of Indianapolis' six home runs in win

A look at Thursday’s minor-league action within the Pirates' system ...

INDIANAPOLIS (22-23) won at Iowa, 10-8 . Henry Davis continued his tear in Class AAA by homering twice in his 3-for-6 day. He hit solo home runs in the third and fourth innings:

Davis is now hitting .320 with six home runs and 14 RBIs in 50 at-bats with Indianapolis. Of his 16 hits, 10 have gone for extra bases. 

Matt Gorski stayed hot and hit another home run, his fifth in five games. Gorski, Davis and Liover Peguero each scored two runs.

ALTOONA (12-30) won at Erie, 11-5 . The Curve scored six runs in the second inning. Dustin Peterson hit a three-run home run in that inning. 

Joe Perez homered as part of his 3-for-5 day. Tsung-Che Cheng hit a two-run homer and Sammy Siani hit a solo homer in the seventh, and Carter Bins hit a solo homer in the ninth.

GREENSBORO (24-18) beat Greenville, 5-3 . Termarr Johnson had an RBI single in the first, and Hudson Head brought him home with a two-run homer:

Charles McAdoo added a run on a sacrifice fly and Head scored on a wild pitch in the eighth for Greensboro.

BRADENTON (19-23) beat Dunedin, 6-3. An RBI double by Shalin Polanco in the first inning was Bradenton's lone extra-base hit of the game. 

The Marauders scored three in the first inning as Eddy Rodriguez added an RBI single and Sergio Campana brought one in on a sacrifice fly. Solomon Maguire had an RBI single and scored on a passed ball in the eighth.
