Minor-league report: Gorski continues his tear for Indianapolis

A look at Saturday’s minor-league action within the Pirates' system ...

INDIANAPOLIS (22-25) lost at Iowa, 6-5 . Matt Gorski stayed hot by hitting his sixth home run in his last seven games.

Since May 16, Gorski leads professional baseball in home runs (seven), RBIs (21), slugging percentage (1.051), total bases (41) and extra-base hits (11). Jake Lamb had two hits. Henry Davis drew two walks and scored a run.

ALTOONA (14-30) won at Erie in 11 innings, 4-3. Sammy Siani hit an RBI double in the 11th inning to put Altoona ahead.

Jackson Glenn scored on a wild pitch for Altoona in the 10th. 

Braxton Ashcraft allowed a solo home run and struck out eight in 5 1/3 innings. Anthony Solometo struck out two in a perfect inning of relief.

GREENSBORO (25-19) lost to Greenville, 3-2. Greensboro's five hits came from two players. Charles McAdoo went 3-for-4 with a double and P.J. Hilson singled twice.

Greenville scored three runs in the first inning off of Greensboro starter Wilbur Dotel. The Drive's Cutter Coffey hit a two-run home run off of Dotel.

BRADENTON (20-24) lost to Dunedin, 6-3. The Blue Jays scored five of their runs off of Bradenton reliever Hunter Furtado in the sixth and seventh innings. 

Marauders starter Khristian Curtis struck out a career-high nine batters in five innings.
