MLB best bets, HR props for Tuesday 8/1: We like Springer for a dinger

Matt Olson's dinger gave us a slight profit in home run props to start the week, so let's keep the momentum rolling with my three favorite players to hit a homer on Tuesday's MLB slate.

Trea Turner (+1000 FanDuel)

There aren't many hitters who can say they love facing former Cy Young winner Sandy Alcantara, but Trea Turner is surely one of them. In 33 career at-bats against Alcantara, Turner is batting .394 and slugging .546 with two doubles and a homer. The Philadelpia Phillies shortstop has been in a bit of a funk at the dish, but that's why this price is so high. I think the 10/1 is worth a sprinkle with a solid matchup on deck Tuesday.

Austin Riley (+340 FD)

This number should be higher. Plain and simple. Austin Riley has been on an absolute tear of late with eight home runs and a .979 slugging percentage in his last 12 games. The 26-year-old also leads the Atlanta Braves in home runs off lefties, and he's gotten a hit both times he's faced Los Angeles Angels starter Patrick Sandoval. Give me the +340.

George Springer (+370 FD)

This is strictly a bet on a strong hitter-pitcher matchup. In 14 career at-bats against Baltimore Orioles starter Kyle Bradish, George Springer is batting .500 with four doubles and a home run. Springer has been struggling mightily at the dish since the All-Star break, but a matchup against a familiar foe might be just what he needs to snap his funk.
