My Blue Jays let me down yesterday with a loss in the series finale against Detroit. Nevertheless, we banked on Spencer Turnbull not pitching more than five innings and that cashed, and so did Minnesota at the Yankees. That is three underdog wins in a row and back-to-back winning days.
Tonight we have a full schedule to choose from as a host of new series begin. Just how long can the Rays keep this up? They are in Toronto, facing a winning team for the first time this season.

Winning Days: 2 of 3
In Review: Thursday, April 13
Toronto Blue Jays -1.5, -118 (loss)
The Jays never solved the Tigers last night. They had lots of chances for big innings but no clutch hitting.
Minnesota Twins +130 (win)
The Twins jumped all over the Yankees rookie. It was more than I expected but I was leaning that way.
Spencer Turnbull Under 15.5 Out (win)
I was watching live and he pitched really well. They got him out to avoid a blow up and it worked - per the above.
MLB Picks for Friday April 14
Favorite
Atlanta Braves -130 (at Kansas City Royals)
Fading the Royals is never a bad idea. We are getting a nice price with the Braves in town. Charlie Morton is not what he used to be but against the Royals the Braves should score more than enough for him to go about his business. I thought we would have to go run line here but the ML is in range. This is probably the best price you get with Atlanta this weekend.
Underdog
Pittsburgh Pirates +135 (at St. Louis Cardinals)
Pittsburgh has been a nice surprise while St. Louis has struggled early on. This line is a little too generous to the home side, especially with Jake Woodford on the hill for the Cardinals. He is 0-2 with a 9.00 ERA. Just because it is Cards vs Bucs does not demand the premium it might later in the summer, assuming these teams find their level. Now is the time to strike.
Prop
San Francisco Giants Over 4.5 Runs (-125)
I am going with a team prop tonight. Detroit got the win and held down the Jays bats last night, but I have not been impressed by their pitching overall. San Francisco will get all of their at bats on the road and their offense has been better than expected this season. Detroit is not going to slow them down.
