MLB home run props for Fri. 6/14: Texas-sized price on Rangers' Josh Smith

We're looking to close out the week with a bang, and the best way to do that is to cash a juicy home run prop to send us to the weekend. Here are the three HR bets we're targeting for Friday's MLB slate.

Matt Vierling (+750 FanDuel)

Tigers at Astros, 8:10 p.m. ET

Hunter Brown has been such a hit-or-miss pitcher this year. The Houston Astros starter has given up one or fewer earned runs in three of his last eight starts, but he's also surrendered multiple home runs in three starts over that span. Almost all of Vierling's power has come against right-handed pitching this season, as he's hit seven of his eight homers against righties. The Detroit Tigers third baseman is slugging .614 against righties over the last month, and this is a solid matchup for him to jump on a mistake.

Jeimer Candelario (+600 DraftKings)

Reds at Brewers, 8:10 p.m. ET

We're interested in backing the Cincinnati Reds with a home run prop for a few reasons. Milwaukee Brewers starter Freddy Peralta has shut-down stuff, but he's giving up the 15th-highest barrel rate in MLB among qualified pitchers. American Family Field is also the fifth-friendliest park to home runs this season, and the wind will be blowing out to right field during the game. Candelario is absolutely on fire against right-handed pitching with a .371 batting average and a .857 slugging percentage over the last two weeks.

Josh Smith (+830 FD)

Rangers at Mariners, 10:10 p.m. ET

Smith seems a tad mispriced on Friday night. The Texas Rangers third baseman is on fire against right-handed pitching, as he's batting .360 and slugging .560 against righties over the last two weeks. He's also 3-4 with a home run and two doubles in his career against Seattle Mariners starter Luis Castillo. Oh, and the wind is projected to blow strongly out to center field at T-Mobile Park. This is worth a sprinkle at a big price.
