We came up empty in home run props to start the week, but that doesn't mean we can't bounce back with a loaded schedule on Tuesday. Let's get back on track with my three favorite HR props for Tuesday's MLB slate.
What has gotten into Trea Turner lately?
Over the last two weeks, the Philadelphia Phillies shortstop leads MLB in batting average (.404), OPS (1.462) and home runs (eight). He's gone yard in nine of his last 12 games and showing no signs of slowing down. Now he gets to face Atlanta Braves starter Max Fried, a pitcher he's batting .406 against in 32 career at-bats. Oh, and the friendly weather conditions are creating a projected 21 percent boost to home runs at Citizens Bank Park, per Ballpark Pal. I have no earthly idea why this price is so high, so we're taking it without asking questions.
Corey Seager is on a power surge with 10 home runs over the last month, which is the fourth-highest mark in MLB over that span. Now he gets to face Toronto Blue Jays left-hander Hyun Jin Ryu, who's given up four homers over his last three starts. Seager is batting .309 against lefties this season with seven home runs and a .884 OPS. This price shouldn't start with a four, so we're jumping on it.
Lance Lynn Day has become a national holiday in the home run props column. The Los Angeles Dodgers starter has surrendered a league-high 40 home runs this season, and he's given up eight dingers over his last three starts. To celebrate, we're going to take Xander Bogaerts at a juicy +750. This price is so high because Bogaerts is batting just .174 against Lynn in his career, but the San Diego Padres shortstop is on fire with a 1.142 OPS and three homers over his last 51 at-bats.
