MLB parlay picks for Fri., 7/15: Cash in with this expert's +548 parlay

Due to popular demand, we're adding an article at Oddschecker that consists of two parlays. I'm going to add two different parlays, one being a moneyline parlay and the other being a totals parlay in the MLB daily. You can always mix and match these parlays where you see the value! Head to the Oddschecker MLB Odds grid to see complete odds for every game today on the board.

MLB Moneyline Parlay Picks (+305) (Bet $100 to win $305)

  • Dodgers (-190)
  • Padres (-190)
  • Brewers (-135)

It was only a +278 parlay, but our moneyline parlay came through yesterday. So that's something to be happy about. Let's look to win another one with tonight's slate.

The Dodgers will take on Pablo Sandoval and the Angels tonight. Sandoval has been very good recently, holding a 3.62 xFIP with 30% of strikeouts. However, he's also allowed 35.5% of line drives and has induced just 27.4% of ground balls. Can Dodgers can get to him. Meanwhile, The Angels have been abysmal against lefties, hitting a .276 wOBA against them in the last 30 days. Clayton Kershaw should have his way. Take the Dodgers..

The Padres have been terrible recently. But that's going to change over the weekend. They'll take on Madison Bumgarner, who has a 5.18 xFIP in the last 30 days with just 17.2% of strikeouts. Bumgarner has allowed 53.8% of hard contact in the last 30 days. The Padres have enough talent to do damage. Meanwhile, Yu Darvish will take the mound for the Padres with 27.8% of strikeouts and 4.6% of walks in the last 30 days. He's the much better pitcher in this spot. Take the Padres at home.

The Brewers have a .207 ISO and wOBA of .383 against lefties in the last 30 days. While Alex Wood has been very good, he's allowed more offense to righties. The Brewers will have seven righties in the lineup to face Wood. Meanwhile, Brandon Woodruff has looked spectacular in his last three starts, holding an xFIP of nearly 2 in those three starts with over 40% of strikeouts. The Giants strike out at a ridiculous rate. Take the Brewers on the road.

MLB Total Runs Parlay Picks (+548) (Bet $100 to win $548)

  • Phillies vs. Marlins Under 7 (-130)
  • Orioles vs. Rays Over 8 (+100)
  • White Sox vs. Twins Over 9 (-120)

The Marlins will send out Sandy Alcantara, who is the leading candidate to win the NL Cy Young this year. In the last 30 days, he's got a 3.40 xFIP and will take on a Phillies lineup that strikes out a ton at the top of the order. On the other hand, it'll be Kyle Gibson for the Phillies. Gibson hasn't been great but will take on a Marlins lineup that has a wOBA of .282 in the last 30 days against righties. He'll get through the Marlins tonight.

Tyler Wells will take the hill for the Orioles. He has a 5.16 xFIP in the last 30 days with low strikeouts and high walks. He's been very lucky with a BABIP of .208 in the last 30 days. That number is going to rise eventually. Meanwhile, the Rays will pitch Luis Patino, who hasn't pitched much this season. But he had his terrible outings last year and is capable of blowing up early for the Rays.

Devin Smeltzer will take the hill for the Twins tonight. The left-hander has an xFIP of 5.57 with low strikeouts and will take on a White Sox projected lineup that has a wOBA of .373 in the last 30 days. There will be many base runners on for the White Sox. On the other hand, Michael Kopech will take the mound for the White Sox and he's been worse than Smeltzer, holding an xFIP of 6.51 with 12% of walks. The Twins have an ISO of .223 and wOBA of .347 in the last 30 days against righties and should be able to hit for power in this one. I like the over here.
