MLB Pitchers Prop Parlay for Thursday 4/14

When it comes to parlays, we're usually pretty conservative. And by conservative, we usually mean odds somewhere between -120 and +110. But we found a parlay that has nearly +400 odds -- +394 to be exact -- and is not all that risky. It's definitely riskier than our conventional SGPs or alternative run line parlays, but don't let that scare you.

We like the Rays and Cardinals to both win on Thursday, but that's not our parlay. Don't get us wrong, we like that parlay too, but we're going to take it one step further. Instead, take both team's starting pitchers -- the Rays' Jeffrey Springs and Cardinals' Jordan Montgomery -- to each record the win. Both are also worth betting individually, but we like combining the two into a juicy parlay.

The main reason we like both the Cardinals and Rays to win is because of who they're starting on Thursday. St. Louis is nowhere near as good as Tampa Bay or playing nearly as well, but Montgomery was nearly untouchable in his last start -- 7 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 2 BB, 9 K -- and even though Pittsburgh is off to a hot start, we don't see the Bucs doing much against Montgomery on Thursday.

Since getting dealt from the Yankees to the Cardinals before last year's trade deadline, the southpaw is 8-3 with an ERA under three in 13 starts. And best of all, Montgomery hasn't allowed more than two runs in each of his two career starts vs. the Pirates. St. Louis still isn't playing all that well, but they have won back-to-back games, and are too talented to not turn the corner. We see Montgomery dominating the Bucs on Thursday, and the Cardinals cruising to victory.

As for the Rays, well what isn't there to say? They're the best team in baseball, a win away from matching baseball's all-time season-opening winning streak record and throwing arguably the best pitcher in baseball in Springs. In you didn't already know, Springs has been nearly perfect this year, and is currently our sleeper for the AL Cy Young award.

The southpaw has yet to allow a run and has yielded just three hits and four walks over 13 innings. And maybe even more impressive, Springs has fanned 19. Springs struggled with Texas and Boston to begin his career, but since he's been with Tampa, he's been far from bad. Springs had a career year last year and is on pace to be even better this year.

Meanwhile Boston's defense and pitching has been awful, and Tampa Bay's offense is off to a torrid start. Most baseball fans think of the Rays as a "pesky" club that wins via "small ball", but that hasn't been the case this year. Tampa leads the Majors in home runs and is no longer just winning the close games, they're outslugging teams every night and blowing them out as well. We don't see Tampa Bay having any trouble with Boston on Thursday, and even if Springs' consecutive scoreless innings streak ends in this one, we see Springs and the Rays coming away with the win.

The Parlay: Jeffrey Springs AND Jordan Montgomery to each record a win (+394 odds via DraftKings)
Bet $100 to win $394.
