Shohei Ohtani capped off a wild comeback for the Los Angeles Dodgers in their win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday, then got some big kudos from the MLB for his accomplishment.
Ohtani capped off a six-run ninth inning for the Dodgers with a three-run homer, erasing what had been a three-run deficit going into the final frame to win 14-11. The game was a wild back-and-forth, with two blown leads of three runs or more and seven total homers.
The MLB's official account on X celebrated Ohtani's big moment, sharing a picture of his home run celebration and a two-word message.
"Absolute cinema," the post read.

After the game, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts had a lofty comparison for Ohtani.
"Between him and Barry Bonds, those are the two best players I've ever seen," Roberts said, via ESPN. "I played with Barry, but what Sho does in the clutch, I've never seen anything like what he does in the clutch."
Speaking through an interpreter, Ohtani said after the game that it was an emotional moment for him to cap off his team's big comeback.
"It was a really great game," Ohtani said, via ESPN. "It's not the kind of game we play a lot, but for us to score a lot, for them to come back, for us to come back again -- it was very emotional."
