The Los Angeles Angels have finally hauled in that big fish this winter, reportedly signing NL MVP finalist, third baseman Anthony Rendon, to a seven-year, $245 million contract.
This is an absolutely huge deal for an Angels team that needed to make a splash after so many years of irrelevance.
Rendon’s deal comes in at $35 million annually, just under what Mike Trout is earning per season in Southern California.
That's an average annual value of $35 million for Anthony Rendon with #Angels … the average annual value of Mike Trout's contract over 12 years is $35.5 million.

Hey, we all spend more than we mean to around the holidays.
Extremely happy for Mike Trout that the Angels are being aggressive. Now go get some pitching!
