Beloved by many, Bob Uecker was a steady presence for multiple generations of baseball fans. Akin to the legendary Vin Scully, Uecker was one of baseball's pillars for why we love this game so much.
The Milwaukee native encapsulated the American dream. Playing for his hometown Braves was something every fan dreams of. He wasn't the best to ever don a pair of cleats, but he was sure to let you know of it.
With his talents as an effective orator, the world saw Uecker outside the sport. From his appearances on The Tonight Show to his role in the TV sitcom Mr. Belvedere, he was a unique individual who will never be duplicated.
His most famous role might be that of the always hilarious broadcaster Harry Doyle in the Major League films.
RIP Bob Uecker.

Bob Uecker was a welcoming figure for young kids who fell in love with baseball. He made the sport fun while passing the torch from his generation to countless others.
The world lost a wonderful character on Thursday. Someone who made you feel like you were old pals with his inviting demeanor that resonated through the airwaves.
Being able to tune the radio just right on a warm summer night in Chicago to try and catch Uecker calling Brewers' games is a memory I'll always cherish. Hopefully, he finally made it to the "front row."
