New Footage Surfaces of Anthony Rendon's Fan Altercation, Scary Details Confirmed
USA TODAY Sports

The Anthony Rendon situation just got a whole lot more interesting.

In the original video that emerged online on Friday afternoon, we are only able to see Rendon grabbing the fan by his shirt and then attempting his swing at him. We can also hear him claiming that the fan called him disrespectful names and just saw Rendon's clear anger overall.

However, nothing before that was shown and it has made the Angels infielder look quite bad. It is hard for anybody to look at the situation fairly when all you see off the bat is his reaction.

But a video emerged Saturday morning that showcases a new angle of the altercation and actually allows us to see everything leading up to the heated exchange between the two. Take a look for yourself.

We are clearly able to see that the fan in question was talking to and provoking g multiple Angels players on their way out of the stadium. The videographer was too far to capture the audio so we could not hear if the fan actually said the names that Rendon claimed but he gave the fan the reaction he wanted.

Rendon actually tells the fan to come over to where he was and immediately grabs him by the collar. He is still very much in the wrong for doing this and the full details are still needed but this clip actually shows that the fan was talking to Rendon and there could be a reason for this physical response. It also did not look like his teammates tried too hard to stop him.

This was the original video that came out.

We'll be sure to see what Rendon and the organization say in the media session prior to the game, because they still are required to speak, and keep you guys up to date.
