New York Mets Right Fielder Juan Soto swung his way into the history books last night against the San Francisco Giants. Soto’s home run, his 25th of the season, put him in rarefied air. He became the first player in league history to have a 25+ home season with four different franchises before turning 29 years old. At only 26, he made history with years to spare.
Soto is putting together another strong season. He is ninth in the league in home runs, 12th in OPS, and leading in walks by a sizable margin. Will he continue swinging the bat this well over the summer?
Juan Soto hit his 25th home run for the @Mets tonight, his fourth different MLB team with a 25+ HR season (Nationals, Padres, Yankees, Mets).

Soto has been one of the best players in Major League Baseball since debuting with the Washington Nationals in 2018. He is a five-time Silver Slugger, a four-time MLB All-Star, and a World Series champion(2019). He has also won a batting title and has five top-10 finishes in MVP voting.
His career has included stints with the Washington Nationals, San Diego Padres, New York Yankees, and New York Mets. The 2025 season brought with it the most pressure in the perennial all-star’s career. He signed the most lucrative contract in league history with the Mets in December 2024.
Soto and the New York Mets return to the diamond tonight against the San Diego Padres. If he can continue performing at this well, it could be a memorable summer for the team.
