New York Mets Shortstop Francisco Lindor is embroiled in a terrible stretch at the plate. He is hitting a putrid .181 over his last 20 games. His struggles at the dish have impacted the New York Mets on the field. The team is 10- 20 over their last 30 games. Only the Washington Nationals(9-21) are worse than New York over that stretch.
His numbers are down across the board in 2025. He is hitting .253 with 19 home runs and 54 RBI in 2025. Will he be able to find his form sooner rather than later?

Lindor has been one of the best players in Major League Baseball since debuting with the Cleveland Guardians in 2015. He is a five-time MLB All-Star, four-time Silver Slugger, two-time Gold Glove winner, and a Platinum Glove recipient in 2016. He also has six top 10 finishes in MVP voting.
Lindor and the New York Mets will look to avoid being swept this afternoon by the Cincinnati Reds. The team needs better production from its star shortstop. If not, a promising season could fall by the wayside.
