An all-around dominant series from the San Diego Padres has lifted the NL West leader to a record of 13-3, the best mark in all of baseball.

With a conference that can be argued as the best in baseball, the Padres are ahead of both the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers – two teams that are considered World Series contenders.

San Diego made history in their 6-0 victory against the Colorado Rockies on Sunday.

"This is the first time in franchise history the Padres have held an opponent scoreless in a series of 3+ games," MLB Stats took to X on Sunday.

The series was highlighted by starting pitchers Nick Pivetta, Kyle Hart, and Michael King. The three starters combined for 22 total innings pitched, 22 strikeouts, and six hits given up in the series.

Michael King was able to pitch a complete game on Sunday, only giving up two hits and striking out eight in the final game of the series.

San Diego will be welcoming the red-hot Chicago Cubs to PetCo Park and play them in a three-game series that starts on Monday.

On the other side of things, the Colorado Rockies have been off to a rough start to their season.

Beginning the season with a record of 3-12, the Rockies have the worst start to the season in the entire MLB and have backtracked from their start in 2024. A season where they started with a record of 4-11 through their first 15 games.

Colorado will travel to Los Angeles to take on the Dodgers in a three-game series that starts on
