Philadelphia Phillies Starting Pitcher Zack Wheeler had a June to remember. He put a button on the month with a great start last night at home against the San Diego Padres. He tossed 8 scoreless innings and punched out 10. His start helped the Phillies prevail 4-0. Wheeler finished the month of June with an eye-popping 0.58 ERA. It also led to success on the diamond for the Phillies. They went 4-1 in his starts.
It has been another strong regular season for the starting pitcher. He is top 10 in the league in wins, ERA, strikeouts, and WHIP. Will he continue pitching at such a high level this season?

Wheeler debuted with the New York Mets in 2013. While he showed potential in New York, he has come into his own during his six-year tenure with the Philadelphia Phillies. He is a two-time All-Star and won a Gold Glove in 2023. He also has three top-10 finishes in Cy Young voting, including two second-place finishes.
Wheeler’s next scheduled start is on Saturday at home against the Cincinnati Reds. The ace will look to turn the page on a June to remember and get off to a strong start in July.
