Brandon Marsh's rehab assignment hit a skid when he was removed from action after six innings this past Sunday. The same hamstring that had been bothering him the week prior - enough to land him on the 10-day injured list - was feeling sore again.
Phillies manager Rob Thomson had said before Tuesday’s game that he would convene with a doctor for an all-clear on his outfielder. It seems he got it.
According to Scott Lauber of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Marsh will play at least two more games with the Triple-A club before returning to the majors, starting Thursday:
Brandon Marsh (hamstring) will resume his triple-A assignment Thursday with an 11am game in Rochester, N.Y. He’ll play again Friday and could rejoin the #Phillies after that.

Marsh has appeared in four games with Lehigh Valley so far, spending the first as the designated hitter and the other three in center field. He went 2-for-11 with three walks and six strikeouts in those contests, which is only marginally better than the start he had to this season.
Marsh is currently batting .095 (4-for-42) with one home run and five RBI - a far cry from his previous offensive production. While his splits have been heavily skewed in favor of right-handed pitching, he's never struggled to this degree before.
Marsh went on the IL on April 17th, so he is eligible to return whenever he is ready. In the meantime, Johan Rojas is set to make his 13th consecutive start in center field tonight. He made a costly error that led to the Washington Nationals nearly stealing last night's game away from the Phils, so he'll have to mentally reset as he makes his case to remain in Marsh's spot even past his eventual return.
