Phillies' Bryce Harper, wife announce they're expecting second child

Philadelphia Phillies right fielder Bryce Harper and his wife Kayla announced Monday they're expecting a second child.

The couple revealed the expected gender to be a girl on social media, and Harper sent out a tweet that made it sound like he's pretty excited to be a "girl dad."

Harper and his wife were married in 2016 and their son Krew was born last August.

The Phillies star won't have to request paternity leave just yet with the Major League Baseball season still delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic and the inability between the league and players' association to reach an agreement.

Harper signed a monster deal with the Phillies in 2018 -- 13-years, $330 million -- so it's safe to say his children are going to be well taken care of throughout the entirety of their lives.
