After passing their first tests this past week, two Phillies pitchers got the go ahead to continue their rehab assignments.
Lefty Ranger Suárez, who would have been in the Philly rotation if not for lingering back soreness, will have his second rehab start Thursday night with Low-A Clearwater. He threw three scoreless innings for them last Thursday.
Meanwhile, top prospect Andrew Painter - who looks to have recovered from his Tommy John surgery - will also remain with Clearwater and throw his second rehab start on Friday.
Suárez is expected to throw around four innings or 55 pitches, while Painter will try to get to three innings or 50 pitches.
This information was first reported by Scott Lauber of the Philadelphia Inquirer:
Ranger Suárez is scheduled to throw four innings and/or 55 pitches Tuesday night for low-A Clearwater. Andrew Painter is lined up for three innings and/or 50 pitches Friday night for Clearwater.

Suárez, 29, has been a contributor for each of the past three Phillies playoff teams, starting a combined 84 games (including postseason) during that stretch. He's also in the final year of his rookie contract, so getting back to the mound and proving his health isn't a long-term concern is crucial for his market.
MLB.com's Todd Zolecki previously reported that Suárez would make two more rehab starts - first this four-inning outing, then a five-inning one - before being reevaluated. His potential return to the Phillies would be during their road trip to Wrigley Field and the Chicago Cubs later this month.
Painter meanwhile is being eased back into his starting role after two full years away from the game. He likely has a few more appearances to go before being moved up to a higher level of the minors.
There is no firm update on a third rehabbing Phillies player: utility man Weston Wilson.
Wilson has been in Clearwater as well since Tuesday. In four games, he's 1/10 with four walks and three strikeouts. He's played left field in three of the four games and third base in the other.
