Texas Rangers All-Star catcher Jonah Heim got brutally honest on the team’s lineup after defeating the Kansas City Royals on Sunday.

The Rangers earned a 3-2 victory over the Royals. Kansas City jumped out to an early 2-0 lead before the Rangers answered with a pair of runs in the eighth and ninth inning. The game ultimately went to extra innings before Texas broke through with a third run in the 10th. The Rangers held the lead in the bottom of the 10th and picked up an impressive come-from-behind road win.

Some lineups may lose hope after failing to score any runs through seven innings. The defending World Series champs, though, never give up. They feature a powerful offensive attack and are more than capable of recording lopsided wins. Even in games where offense is a struggle, the Rangers can still find ways to get the job done.

All-Star catcher Jonah Heim, who crushed a game-tying home run in the 9th inning, made an intriguing admission about the Rangers lineup following Monday’s victory.

“There’s no quit in this lineup,” Heim said, via Bally Sports Southwest. “You may have us for the first eight or nine innings but we’re gonna come out, we’re gonna give you our best at-bats. One through nine can leave the yard at anytime.”

After Heim tied the game in the 9th inning, Nathaniel Lowe gave Texas a 3-2 lead in the 10th with an RBI single. There is no question that this Rangers lineup is talented.

Rangers Lineup is a Force To Be Reckoned With

The Rangers feature a quality mixture of star-power and depth. They lead things off with star hitter Marcus Semien, and follow it up with fellow All-Star players Corey Seager Adolis Garcia, and Jonah Heim. Nathaniel Lowe, Evan Carter, and Josh Smith feature All-Star potential as well. Josh Jung, who enjoyed a strong 2023 campaign, is currently injured. Jung only adds to Texas’s depth when healthy.

The Rangers are especially dangerous when fully healthy. However, this team still has more than enough talent to take care of business at the moment.

Texas currently ranks 10th in runs scored, 13th in home runs, sixth in RBI, and 11th in team OPS. Those statistics are fairly impressive and the Rangers have not even played up to their full potential yet in 2024.

The Rangers lineup is going to continue to present the ball club with opportunities to win a ton of games.
